Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of dicitur.io (the "Service"), operated under the name Dicitur ("Dicitur", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18. The Service is designed for businesses and professionals, and can also be used by individuals. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. What the Service does
Dicitur asks AI assistants the questions your buyers might ask, records which pages they cite in their answers, and suggests what to publish. It includes free checks, paid audits, reports, a strategy chat and, on some plans, weekly monitoring.
3. What we do not promise
- AI assistants are run by third parties, and their answers change from one time to the next. A single answer is a sample, not a measurement, and even repeated measurements move by a few answers between audits.
- The Service shows which pages are cited. It does not tell you why they are cited.
- Suggested actions are the most likely useful move based on the data. They are not a guarantee of any result, including citations, rankings, traffic or revenue.
- Which AI assistants are available depends on third-party providers and may change.
4. Your account
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. An account is for one person; do not share it.
5. Free checks
Each account gets two free checks. Daily limits apply. We may change or pause free checks at any time.
6. Plans and payment
- Paid plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude VAT and sales tax, which are added at checkout where applicable.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. For some purchases Stripe, or its affiliate Link, acts as the reseller of the purchase, and its terms also apply to that transaction.
- If a payment fails, access to paid features is paused until the payment goes through.
7. Audits and extra audits
- Each plan includes a number of audits per billing month. Unused audits do not roll over. Yearly plans receive their audits every month.
- Extra audits can be bought while you have an active subscription. They are valid for 12 months, are used after your monthly audits, and run on your current plan. If your subscription ends, they stay on your account until they expire and can be used again when you subscribe.
- If an audit fails for a technical reason, its credit is returned automatically.
- You can cancel an audit within 2 minutes of starting it, up to 2 times a month, and its credit is returned.
8. Fair use
The strategy chat has a weekly usage allowance, and question generation has daily limits. These keep the Service available to everyone. Do not try to get around them.
9. Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except as described in section 10.
10. Refunds
Consumers in the European Union. If you buy as a consumer (not for your business), you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw. We will refund you in full if you have not started any audit in that time. By starting an audit, you expressly ask us to start providing the Service immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for that purchase.
Businesses and customers outside the European Union. Payments are not refundable, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
Extra audits are not refundable once used.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive others;
- try to access other users' data, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
- scrape the Service, reverse engineer it, or access it through automated means other than the features we provide;
- resell access to the Service itself.
You may use your reports and results in your own work, including sharing them with your clients.
12. Your content
You keep all rights to what you submit (domains, questions, chat messages). You give us permission to process it only to provide the Service. Answers collected from AI assistants are provided for your information.
13. Changes to the Service and prices
We may improve or change the Service. If we change the price of your subscription, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and the new price will apply from your next renewal. You can cancel before it applies.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
15. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights consumers have under the law of their country.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Italian courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you by email. If you keep using the Service after the change applies, you accept the new terms.
19. Language
These terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version prevails.
